About Us

Our approach

River-centric. Collaborative. Rigorous. We investigate pollution with scientific rigour, mobilise and empower communities, and hold polluters to account.

What guides us

Our river-centric movement combines rigorous scientific investigation with community guardianship and nature recovery, so that communities can move toward solutions that let life thrive. Through connection and transparency we push for accountability, better regulation and lasting resolution of river pollution.

We work alongside farmers, businesses, regulators and water companies on the solutions.

How we work

Investigating with scientific rigour

Accredited lab analysis, consistent year-round sampling, and university partners, so every finding holds up.

Mobilising and empowering communities

Volunteers, River Guardians and households, each doing their part for the river.

Holding polluters to account

Transparent evidence that drives regulation and resolution, not just headlines.

Championing rivers, locally and nationally

What we learn on the Dart feeds into regional and national policy.

Our values

  • Collaboration: positive action, together
  • Transparency: open data, every result
  • Connection: communities and their river
  • Accountability: evidence that polluters can’t ignore
  • Regulation: rules that are enforced
  • Resolution: fixes that last

See the evidence for yourself

Every result we collect is public, alongside live storm overflow data on River Hub.
